Spray Foam for Warehouses
Warehouse Insulation in South Florida
Warehouse insulation with spray foam cuts the heat coming through large roofs and walls, controls condensation and seals air leaks. In South Florida that means cooler working conditions, protected inventory and lower cooling costs in conditioned space. ProFoam & Coatings insulates warehouses across Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade.
The heat problem in Florida warehouses
A warehouse roof is a huge solar collector. Without good insulation, the heat it absorbs radiates down onto your racks, products and people, and the space near the roof can get far hotter than the floor.
That heat affects more than comfort. It can damage temperature-sensitive inventory, slow down your team and, in conditioned warehouses, drive up cooling costs. Humidity adds condensation, which can drip onto stock and corrode the roof and structure.

Why spray foam is a good fit for warehouses
Spray foam is applied directly to the underside of the roof deck and to the walls, so it works with metal, concrete, block and wood construction. It insulates and air-seals in one step and fills around purlins, joists and penetrations that are hard to cover with batts or boards.
Closed-cell foam is the usual choice because it resists moisture and stops condensation on metal roofs. It’s sprayed overhead, so it doesn’t take up floor or rack space.
Warehouses and spaces we insulate
Distribution and storage warehouses
Cooler space for inventory and staff.
Climate-controlled storage
Keeping conditioned air in and heat out.
Cold storage areas
Holding temperatures steady and reducing condensation.
Light manufacturing and shops
Workspaces under large metal roofs.
Self-storage facilities
Protecting tenants’ belongings from heat and moisture.
Comparing warehouse insulation options
Fiberglass blankets
Common on metal warehouses and inexpensive up front, but seams and torn facing let moist air in, and wet fiberglass stops working.
Rigid board
Good R-value, but it needs fastening and taping, leaves seams and is hard to fit around purlins and penetrations.
Radiant barrier
Reflects some radiant heat from the roof, but doesn’t air-seal or stop condensation on its own.
Closed-cell spray foam
Bonds to the roof and walls, insulates, air-seals and stops condensation in one application, with no seams.

Insulation with minimal downtime
We know your warehouse can’t just shut down. Before we start, we plan the project around your operation, often working in sections so the rest of the building stays in use. We protect racks, inventory and equipment in the area being sprayed and coordinate access with your team.
Our commercial spray foam page covers the wider range of commercial buildings we work on.

What warehouse insulation does for you
Cooler working conditions
Less heat radiating down from the roof onto your team.
Protected inventory
Fewer heat spikes and less condensation dripping onto stock.
Lower cooling costs
Less heat gain for climate-controlled space.
Less corrosion
Condensation control helps protect metal roofs and structure.
A tighter building
Fewer air leaks for dust, humidity and pests.

Frequently asked questions
How much does warehouse insulation cost?
It depends on the roof and wall area, foam type and thickness, access and how the work has to be phased. We provide a free written proposal after an on-site assessment.
Can you insulate a warehouse while it’s operating?
Usually, yes. We work in sections and schedule around your operation so most of the building stays in use.
Does spray foam take up rack space?
No. It’s sprayed on the underside of the roof deck and on walls, so it doesn’t use floor or rack space.
Will spray foam stop condensation dripping from our roof?
Closed-cell spray foam applied at the right thickness keeps humid air away from the cool roof surface, which stops condensation at the source.
Should we coat the roof too?
A roof coating reflects heat and protects the roof from the outside, and it pairs well with interior insulation. We can look at both.
